It is strong, flexible, resistant to fungus, bacteria and mold. It's compatible with most industrial adhesives, easy to work with and has a beautiful grain suitable for quality furniture. Parawood is prized for its dense grain, attractive color, minimal shrinkage and acceptance to different finishes. Parawood makes use of trees that exude a latex sap which is harvested each year. This rubber tree is the world's primary source of natural rubber. The trees are then cut down at the end of their latex producing cycle. Utilizing this wood is therefore eco-friendly in the sense that we are now using what was going to waste and burned as a by-product.
